A Beverage Made For Good Natured Living

Bössi Kids Tea is a rooibos-based, all-natural boxed drink created by two health-conscious parents. To help introduce its products to U.S. natural food retailers, Magnetic built a brand from the ground up around the vision, values, & culture of its South African founders. Today, you can find Bössi at dozens of natural foods retailers like Whole Foods, Roots & Jimbo’s… Naturally!

With so many products in the market battling for shelf space and consumer's attention, we needed to craft a brand and a story worth talking about. A few challenges we needed to focus on our during our brand launch journey:

  1. Getting noticed in a highly saturated market of healthy kid’s drinks
  2. Connecting with a meticulous segment of ingredient-conscious parents
  3. Educating U.S. consumers on the health benefits of South African rooibos

Brewing Up Strategy Flavored With Goodness

Bringing a South African Beverage Brand to U.S. Grocery Aisles takes just the right approach. Designing an all natural brand aesthetic that appeals to both parents and kids was imperative to build demand. In order to break into natural foods retailers with a strong and clear value proposition, you have to have a good story. The more we could communicate a clear sense of brand values from digital content to physical packaging the more successful we'd be in market.

Connecting To Retailers

Getting shelf space in store as a new brand is a rigorous process. You have to have the right product, know the right people and have the right marketing plan in place to support the brand launching on shelves. Grocery stores aren't in the business of startups or driving awareness for brands, you need to be ready to boost the marketing efforts and promote products to help move them from shelves into consumer's homes. We partnered with ONTDEK to help engage retailers, get placement into stores across the US and drive sales.

An All Natural Digital Experience

It's imperative that any brand launching into North America needs to have a quality digital experience. It's expected by consumers. Companies need to ensure their narrative is clear, that it speaks directly to consumer demands and truly delivers a visual brand experience that matches the product's promise. If 2020 has taught us all anything, it's that connecting to a consumer digitally is more important now than ever as the world has been forced to become more digital.
